Interim Senior Pastor
Larry Ray Cusick

Larence Ray Cusick (Larry)was born and raised in Michigan near Detroit. His wife, Deloris Carrow Cusick, deceased, was born in Chocowinity NC. She retired from the DOD as a GS-11 contract negotiator.  They have two children, Caroline A. Crawford, an assistant district attorney in Halifax County and William R. Cusick, a retired pilot, Colonel Louisiana Air National Guard who instructs Jr ROTC in an inner city school.  They have three grandchildren Noel, Benjamin and Philip. Larry retired from the USAF in 1996 at the rank of Lt. Colonel, pastored two churches in Florida, taught Bible and ethics at two colleges as an adjunct instructor. He presently lives in Red Oak NC. His purpose as an interim pastor is to lead worship, edify the church in discipleship and endeavor to lead people to Christ as the church transitions between pastors. He did one year of CPE or Clinical Pastoral Education at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC.  He hopes to see the church grow internally with spiritual growth as well as in numbers.

Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor
Philip Beasley, and his wife Kara

 Philip is a native of South Carolina. Both Philip and Kara have served as Missionaries with Apartment Life. Philip has a heart for teaching today's youth to defend their faith and to interact critically with ideas from all cultures, while being informed by a Christian worldview.

Philip has a B.A. in Youth Ministry, an M. Div. in Christian Apologetics, and a THM in Philosophy of Religion. He is currently working on his doctorate in Christian Philosophy at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Children's Ministry Leader

We are currently in search of a PT Children's Ministry Leader who has a passion for Kids and wants to see them grow in wisdom and understanding of the Word of God, transformed by the Gospel, and instilled with a Kingdom heart willing to fulfill the Great Commission.

Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - Pr. 22:6

Worship Ministry Leader
Angie Ruffin

Angie grew up at Oakdale and has been involved in the Music Ministry since childhood. She leads the adult & children's choirs and VBS. She has a BA in music education from NC Wesleyan College and Masters in Education from East Carolina Univeristy

Administrative Assistant
Sharon Lynch

Sharon has been with Oakdale since 2007. Born in Grand Forks, ND, she served in the Navy for 4 years while stationed in Italy. This is where she met her husband before  being discharged and moving to Rocky Mount. She has her Associate Degree  from the North Dakota State School of Science.
