“Shine the Light for Jesus“

On Sunday July 26 our church membership was introduced to the building stewardship campaign “Shine the Light for Jesus”. Our goal is to raise as much of the building cost as possible prior to completion of the building and finalization of the loan. Every dollar we raise will help eliminate future interest cost on our loan.

We realize that our building program is not taking place in the best of economic times; however we also realize that God has a plan for our church. We gracious accept God’s blessing on a daily basis and now we have an opportunity to give back to his service to allow Oakdale to continue to be a lighthouse in this community. Please remember we are ONLY building what we absolutely need in order to carry on God’s work at Oakdale Baptist Church.

Commitment Sunday August 9,2009 is approaching, please be much in prayer about your individual commitment to our church. Please share our stewardship program with family and friends that are outside of our church. If they would like to be a part of this building program they can by contributing to the building program in memory or recognition of someone that has been important in their life.
