  • Graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College
  • BA in music education
  • Graduate of East Carolina University
  • MaEd in middle grades education (language arts)
  • Teaches 8th grade at West Edgecombe School
  • Has been on mission trips to Baltimore, Atlanta, Chicago, and Appalachian Mountains
  • Became a Christian as a child and can testify that "every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before"
