Mission FriendsWhen: Wednesdays at 7:00pm Where: Fellowship Hall Mission Friends is the church missions organization of WMU for preschoolers ages birth through prefirst. The primary objective of Mission Friends is to provide a strong foundation for preschoolers in a Christian and missions lifestyle. Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences to help preschoolers move from a self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God's love, and to understand ways they can help others know about this good news! On Wednesday nights at 7:00pm, the children meet at the Oakdale to learn about missions around the world. Missions Friends classes are for children ages birth through kindergarten. The little ones even do missions projects like “Change for Chickies”. Through Samaritans Purse the Mission Friends raised enough money to buy five broods of chicks to send to underprivileged families over seas to raise for food and to sell. To learn more, please visit www.missionfriends.com. As defined by the WMU. Missions Involvement at Oakdale Baptist consists of participating in the usual offerings throughout the year and Missions projects to help area organizations. The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goes to international missions. The Annie Armstrong Offering goes to North American missions to support missionaries here at home.
Christmas in August lets the whole church gather items and money To help missionaries continue their work.
