Transportation Ministry TeamNovember 2011
We have three vans in our fleet. It is our goal to keep the vehicles in good running condition. All three of the vans have high mileage and we can expect to have some mechanical issues. However, there are some things that each of us can do to help maintain these vehicles to keep them in good working order. Anytime any of these vehicles are on the road, our Church assumes financial liability for the actions of the driver and the passengers. This is not a small responsibility or something that should be taken lightly.
1. Driver: When you sign out the vehicle there are certain responsibilities that you accept: a. Safety of your passengers b. Safe operation of the vehicle c. Prior to returning the vehicle, clean out trash/clean up any spills d. Accurately update the log book e. Report any mechanical problems
2. Passengers a. Safety is first b. Assist the driver c. Keep the vehicle clean, remove trash/clean up any spills d. Maintain the interior of the vehicle
Each of us as members of OBC have a responsibility to maintain church property that God has blessed us with. We are requesting your assistance to help us provide our church family with good reliable transportation.
We realize that we need to be planning to replace some of our van fleet, but with our current building financial obligations it may not be possible at this time. However, if anyone is interested in making a contribution towards a new van to the church, please see a member of the transportation team.
