Sunday School Ephesians 4:11-12 11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
2 Timothy 3:14-17 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Oakdale Baptist Church Sunday School is an important part of the church’s overall ministry. We like to say that we offer Christian education to everyone from 1 to 99. The “1” could be one month old since we have a nursery available and ready. We believe that Christian education is a life-long process of discovery, that the learning never stops. No matter where you are on your own walk with God, we encourage you to come seek us out. Our emphasis is on Bible based study in all age groups.
Fellowship is an integral part of our Sunday School programs. We emphasize the social aspect of the Christian life. Members are encouraged to socialize Sunday class time as much as possible. Our Sunday School program believes in reaching out to the community in projects to help the needy and extend the good news of the Gospel to all.
At Oakdale Baptist Church Sunday School we have a full range of classes for everyone. There are nursery and pre-school Sunday School structured classes. There are children classes by age groups for the children to learn God’s Word. We have a children’s minister who is also the Sunday School Children Director. A middle school Sunday School Sunday School Department. For high school, we have classes led by dedicated teachers. As for adults, we offer a full spectrum of choices, something for everyone. There are classes for men, classes for women, and couples’ classes. When you visit, please “try on” a class to see.
We encourage you to come out and join us in Sunday School at Oakdale Baptist Church. You will feel welcomed and will be able to find here what you need in this world to live the Christian life.
