Student Ministry

The Student Ministries of Oakdale Baptist Church exists in order for 6th-12th graders to become and build Disciples of Christ.  This ministry seeks to reach the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ and invite them to plant their lives in the local church.  We seek to develop these new believers into committed followers of Christ on Sunday mornings, Sunday, and Wednesday nights, as well as through multiple conferences, retreats, mission projects, and fellowships throughout the year.

Sunday school for College (or college age), High School, and Middle School is at 9:45 AM.  Students will develop relationships with fellow students and teachers, but more importantly they will spend time diving into the major beliefs of the Christian faith.

Wednesday nights, is our outreach event from 7-8:15 PM.  This gives students a place to bring their friends that will both show them the love of Christ relationally and encourage them to receive the Gift of Salvation that He offers.  We worship which then leads into a Bible-based message that always presents the Gospel.  Stick around afterwards to play basketball in the gym until around 8:45 PM.

The purpose of our student ministry is to grow up a generation of truly Christian young adults who know how to study God’s Word and apply it in a lifestyle of surrender and obedience to God.  We provide opportunities for leadership in ministry to the church, community, and world.  We desire to partner with parents in helping develop a generation of Biblically founded, Spirit empowered witnesses for Christ.
