Honduras Mission

Oakdale will send a 2nd Mission Team to Choluteca, Honduras, on March 21-29,2012.  This team will be a construction team who will build Pastor Pedro's home.   Ten (10) participants are needed to represent Oakdale for this endeavor.  Funds to purchase the building supplies have been donated and fund raisers to assist with the participants expenses are underway.  Total cost for each participant is $1100 with a $300 deposit due in $100 increments at the end of November, December and by January 16.  Meetings are currently being held to share information and prepare for the Mission Trip.  Contact the Church office or Tom and Kaye Bulluck for more information. 

Honduras Mission Update

In 7 short weeks, the Honduas Mission Team will be fastly approaching the March 21st departure.  Airline reservations have been made by the NC Baptist Mission Organization and we are set!

Team 2 consists of 5 returning members from Team 1 and 6 new members:

We will have our final supporting Wednesday night pancake supper on Feburary 8th.  Please support us in this effort as there are still outstanding financial obligations within the team.

ALSO - please don't forget to bring your items for the hygeine kits that are being prepared to travel with us on this journey.  Toothpaste, toothbrushes, bath cloths, soap and quart size zip loc bags are needed.  These items may be placed in the Mission Box at the end of the hall.

Members from Team 1 and 2 will be sharing testimonies and devotions during the Upward Games on February 25th.  It will be our mission during these games to bring awareness of our efforts to Know Jesus,  Share Jesus and Serve Jesus in our own communities as well as in Honduras.
